Accredited Master of Library and Information Science degree or related Advanced degree with 5 years’ experience in digital archiving
- Prefer Knowledge of FileMaker Pro and software used to capture, manage, transfer and deliver digital records, including web archiving activities and tools (Can be trained on the software if the applicant meets other criteria).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with command of the English language.
- Ability and willingness to work with colleagues in collaborative and team environments, as well as working independently.
- Must be willing to sign an NDA and clear a background check.
- Must be willing to take a personality and/or IQ test.
- Applicant will be required to perform several sample tests of titling and descriptions for files.
- Must be willing to work in the Charlottesville, Virginia area.

**Responsibilities**:

- Reporting to the Director of the Project and the Project Manager.
- Digital Archivist facilitates acquisition, processing, discoverability, and access for the rare and unique holdings of Small Special Collections, in both paper and digital format.
- Willing to scan and digitize new acquisitions.
- Willing to travel, if necessary to acquire a new collection.
- Salary $60,000/year.

Pay: $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Archival standards: 5 years (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

- Charlottesville, VA 22903: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
