Service Writer

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Writer to join our team. This position comes with hourly pay and commission

**Duties**:

- Transmit customer requests to the appropriate mechanics or technicians
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns
- Write accurate and detailed service orders based on customer requests and vehicle inspections
- Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to assess vehicle issues and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance
- Collaborate with mechanics to ensure accurate estimates for repairs and communicate them to customers
- Coordinate with parts department to order necessary parts for repairs
- Maintain accurate records of all service orders, invoices, and customer interactions
- Handle cash transactions, including collecting payments from customers
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized service department

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in service writing or a related role within the automotive industry is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems and repairs
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and software
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and address customer concerns effectively
- Proficient in cash handling procedures

Please note that all positions at our company are paid positions.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 60 per week
