A mail handler sorts, processes, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail. They operate equipment, maintain records, address errors, and ensure compliance with postal regulations. Physical tasks include lifting packages and standing for long periods.

**Responsibilities**:

- Processing Packages: Handling packages and parcels, ensuring they are properly labeled, sorted, and routed for delivery or dispatch.
- Operating Equipment: Operating machinery such as postage meters, letter openers, and sorting machines to expedite the processing of mail.
- Maintaining Records: Maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail, including tracking numbers, delivery confirmations, and any discrepancies.
- Addressing Errors: Addressing errors in addresses or postage to ensure mail is correctly processed and delivered to the intended recipients.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other postal workers, including mail carriers, clerks, and supervisors, to ensure efficient mail processing and delivery.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping work areas clean and organized to facilitate smooth mail processing operations.
- Physical Requirements: Engaging in physical tasks such as lifting and carrying heavy packages, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions if necessary.

Pay: $25.78 - $26.30 per hour
