The property caretaker will be responsible for the overall maintenance or overseeing of the maintenance of the property. The caretaker will seek to maintain the property in an organized and tidy manner.
- **Daily Tasks**:_
- Patrol the entire property to remove any debris, trash or downed branches.
- Sweep or blow-off all walkways around the home, cottage and barns.
- Maintain all home and farm garages keeping them neat and tidy. Maintain organization of all garages, equipment and tools.
- Maintain property security by ensuring that all access gates are operating correctly.
- Feed and water Chickens and ducks and let them out to free range and put them back in the coop at day’s end.
- Other duties that may be assigned.
- Bring packages to the main house that have been delivered to the barn.
- **Weekly Tasks**_:
- Power wash/Clean entry gates and barndoors, cottage doors.
- Move to curb for weekly trash company pickup.
- Clean all gardens and flower-beds of weeds and debris.
- Clean and maintain all farm equipment. This would include inside and outside of the tractors, gator and farm equipment. Perform necessary weekly maintenance by checking fluids and using a grease gun as required. Routine maintenance will be handled by an outside professional service provider.
- **Seasonal Tasks**_:
- Seasonally - Ensure that adequate firewood supply is cut and maintained in specific areas. That would include wood splitting and stacking.
- Seasonally - retrieve the pool furniture at the beginning of the season to be set out by the pool and to be stored in barn at the end of the season.
- When weather warrants, provide snow/ice removal to all lanes and sidewalks.
- Communicate with service providers for pond, meadows, lawn, irrigation and gate service.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
