**Job Summary**

The Director of Basketball Operations assists the Head Coach in the administration of all aspects of the sport program including recruiting; contest scheduling; supervising sports personnel; coordinating its travel itineraries; managing the budget; coordinating logistics including team meals, buses, video and meeting rooms, and film exchange; and ensuring program compliance with NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations.

The Director of Basketball Operations will embrace and model a positive coaching philosophy and associated techniques, insisting on a culture of respect and positive communication. Furthermore, the Director of Basketball Operations will demonstrate an on-going commitment to the principles of multiculturalism and diversity through hiring practices, training and development programming, campus collaborations, or involvement and participation in university/divisional multiculturalism and diversity projects or initiatives.

**Essential Functions**
- Liaise for Rick Pitino with administration, scheduling, and public relations
- Coordinate team travel, academics, compliance, and equipment
- Organize and schedule gym times, camps, and events
- Provide feedback to staff regarding film, analytics, self-scouting, opponent scouting, recruiting, and basketball related activities
- Oversee academic progression of student-athletes and hold them responsible
- Handle the day-to-day compliance/cara logs

**Competencies**
- Preparing scouting reports
- Film editing
- Academic monitoring

**Supervisory Responsibility**

This position monitors the student athletes well as the support staff.

**Work Environment**

This position operates in a professional office environment; this position requires you to use standard office equipment such as personal computers, printers, etc.

**Physical Demands**

While performing this job's duties, the employee must stand for extended periods of time.

**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**

Full time

8:00am - 6:00pm (Hours will vary)

**Travel**

Travel is local and national - required to travel for recruiting purposes and during competition season.

**Required Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Coaching Experience at HS, AAU, and or college level
- Valid driver’s license
- Background checks required
