GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Security Guard some duties include securing premises, patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, and writing reports detailing any occurrences during your shift.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lock doors and gates of entrances and exits to secure buildings.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises.
- Patrol should be conducted every hour while on site working.
- Write detail reports of any occurrences during your shift.
- Patrol premises to prevent any unauthorized personnel and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Call police or fire department in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- The booth light should be always on while the employee is on shift.

- Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas
- Request emergency personnel
- Warn Individuals about rule violations or safety concerns
- Write operational reports
- The employee will frequently Stand; Walk; Sit; Talk or hear.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and sometimes working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time
- Ability to conduct inspections and plan security procedures

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Desired Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 3 years of related security experience required
- Active NY Guard License
- Extensive knowledge of security protocol and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations
