**Job Summary and Qualifications**:
A registered professional nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. In addition, the registered professional. nurse prescribes, delegates, coordinates, supervises and evaluates patient teaching and the activities of the ancillary nursing personnel while maintaining the standards of professional nursing

What you will do in this role**:

- **
Assess patient condition during post-operative recovery, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.**:

- ** Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.**:

- ** Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.**:

- ** Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.**:

- ** Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of post surgical patients.**

**What you will need in this role**:

- ** Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or**:

- ** Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross**:

- ** Advanced certifications (i.e. CEN, TNCC, etc.) preferred**:

- ** Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.**:

- ** Must have a minimum of one year acute care hospital PACU experience.**:

- ** Call required - must live within 30 minutes of the facility**

HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is a 488-bed facility. We are accredited by the Joint Commission and offer a wide range of medical specialties. These specialties include emergency care, heart, and vascular care. We are designated by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center. Other specialties include maternity and neonatal care. We are a Level II NICU hospital. HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is CARF accredited for inpatient rehabilitation. Our facility offers a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. This program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. We are affiliated with HCA Florida Healthcare Division.
