**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Training Program Development**:

- Develop and update training materials, manuals, and curriculum related to marine engine operation, maintenance, and repair.
- Design practical training sessions that simulate real-world scenarios.
- **Instruction and Demonstration**:

- Conduct classroom and hands-on training sessions for shipyard personnel, ensuring they understand proper techniques and procedures.
- Demonstrate the correct use of tools and equipment, as well as safety practices.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Assess trainees’ knowledge and skills through tests, practical exercises, and observation.
- Provide feedback and additional training as needed to ensure competency.
- **Mentorship and Support**:

- Serve as a mentor to trainees, offering guidance and support to help them succeed in their roles.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages questions and continuous improvement.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Ensure all training adheres to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Promote a culture of safety and compliance among trainees.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, assessment results, and progress reports.
- Report training outcomes and any issues to management.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Stay updated on the latest advancements in marine engineering and incorporate new techniques into training programs.
- Gather feedback from trainees and continuously improve training content and methods.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**:

- Extensive experience as an Engineman or in a similar marine engineering role.
- Previous experience in a training or instructional capacity is highly preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Strong technical knowledge of marine engines and mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner.
- **Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or training in marine engineering or a related field.
- Instructor certification or relevant teaching credentials are a plus.
- **Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to work in shipyard environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
