Warehouse Specialist/Supply Techician will support the receipt, inventory, shipping, and tracking of all material related to projects. Supports the RMA process, inventory, count, move, and stage material as required.
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Receive all material, machinery, chemicals and supplies
- Verify shipments against purchase orders and examine upon arrival
- Prepare items for shipment to customers and/or return to supplier
- Maintain record keeping systems and mark material with part numbers, date and lot codes, revisions, etc.
- Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
- Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary.

- Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
- Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.
- Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.
- Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
- Assists with shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders. Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
- Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
- Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method. Open bales, crates and other containers.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program. Assist in counting of physical inventory.
- Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Identify and report faulty equipment, damages, and safety concerns to Supervisor.
- Prepare parcels for mailing.
- Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
- Wear the proper safety equipment.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Ability to receive and maintain a secret clearance.
- Self starter/motivated individual; as the person at times will be working independently
- Ability to work within a flexible team environment with excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with all levels of project support staff and stakeholders.
- Ability to multi-task among several projects while being detail-oriented
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, as well as establish and maintain a strong customer focused working relationship
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and Word is required Ability to aquire and maintain a DOT physical to support driving a company box truck under 26,000 lbs.
- Desired Qualifications:

- Obtain certification to operate forklift within 2 months of employment
- Knowledge of material management inventory databases.
