**THE POSITION**:

**DESCRIPTION OF WORK**:
As a Security Officer 1, you are responsible for patrolling DVVH to protect and guard our property/facility or persons from fire, theft, trespass or other hazards.

Duties include patrolling facility buildings and grounds checking for safety hazards, ensuring doors are locked, and enforcing parking regulations. You may be required to transport residents to and from local hospitals and medical appointments and make special mail runs to overnight pick up stations. Also, you are required to assist nursing in locating and returning any missing residents. In addition, you conduct searches of personal property under suspicious circumstances, of conduct investigations, monitor the camera system, answer phone calls, and assist visitors, residents, and employees as needed.

**Work Schedule and Additional Information**:

- Full-time employment, 40-hour work week
- Work hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays.

**Necessary Special Requirement**:

- Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license is required.

**Additional Requirement**:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

**Legal Requirements**:

- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment may require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
