PMA Health, a member of Privia Medical Group, is a multi-specialty medical practice with over 30 providers in 4 offices in Falls Church and Arlington, Virginia. PMA offers a range of services, including internal medicine and primary care, pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and travel medicine, as well as lab services, x-rays and even aesthetics (botox and fillers).

PMA was established in 1961 as a small community-based practice skilled in providing excellent clinical care while fostering trusted relationships between patients and doctors. Though PMA has grown in number and disciplines, our care continues to be delivered in a personalized manner, emphasizing mutual respect and open communication. All of our providers are highly trained and many have been recognized as "top docs" by Arlington Magazine.

In this important role as the first point of contact for patients in need of medical services, you would demonstrate knowledge and excellent customer service skills, facility with our Electronic Health Record system (Athena), and the ability to work quickly and courteously. You would enjoy a team-oriented environment and the respect of your colleagues for your ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.

**Duties**:

- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring their medical records are up to date
- Schedule appointments for patients
- Verify insurance information and eligibility
- Collect co-payments or other fees
- Answer phones when the call center needs assistance to speak to patients or other physician offices.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as copying, faxing, and scanning documents

**Minimum Experience Needed**:

- At least 1 year working in a front desk/check-in/check-out capacity in a medical, dental or similar setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Proficiency in using a multiline phone system and an EMR or EHR for scheduling and record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy

Pay: $18.00 - $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
