**About Us**:
Woori Juntos is a dynamic grassroots-based organization founded by local community members to project a progressive voice and promote the full participation of Asian Americans, im/migrants, and all Texans within the social justice movement. Its mission is to organize Asian Americans and all Texans to achieve social, economic, and racial justice. Woori Juntos is an affiliate of a national progressive Asian American network, NAKASEC.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Co-lead comprehensive communication strategies for Immigrant Justice Project campaigns, coordinating messaging, outreach, and engagement with the team
- Oversee year-round civic engagement communication programs, including voter education, public awareness campaigns, and mobilization efforts
- Co-manage various communication tactics, such as media outreach, social media, ethnic media, etc., to engage with community members effectively
- Cultivate partnerships with local institutions, involving them in Woori Juntos' communication and outreach.
- Implement communication strategies and channels, including newsletters and social media, to inform community members about ongoing campaigns
- Produce communication materials and toolkits to support advocacy efforts and convey key messages
- Recruit, train, and build relationships with community members, focusing on those affected by injustices
- Actively recruit new members and volunteers to expand the organization's reach
- Play a key role in fundraising through communication efforts
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Some years of experience and knowledge about the Asian and im/migrant communities related to im/migrant rights, health equity, public and community safety, climate & environmental justice, educational justice, and labor rights
- Passion for cultural diversity, inclusion, and building connections
- Vision and beliefs of community empowerment and deep commitment to change the world with marginalized communities and ready to resist racism, patriarchy, homophobia, classism, xenophobia, nativism, and ableism
- Ability to conduct a culturally specific approach in communications
- Strong writing, storytelling skills, communication skills, attention to detail, time management, organizational skills, creative thinking, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Proficiency in video editing software
- Vietnamese, Spanish, Korean, or experience in working with language access is optional

The Woori Juntos Communications Associate reports to the Woori Juntos Senior Communications Associate.
