**Description**

**Position Summary**
As our Electrical Apprentice you’ll work under the supervision of a Licensed Electrician performing installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems.

**Job Duties**:

- Assist with safely planning and completing Main Panel Upgrades (MPU)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system components to resolve electrical issues
- Perform work with quality craftsmanship, compliant with current NEC and local codes
- Determine when additional material is required to complete job
- Document project progress by taking photos and completing work orders
- Operate company vehicle stocked with proper tools and equipment
- Adhere to company policies, environmental health and safety policies and good housekeeping practices.
- Identify gaps in safety standards as well as safety risks in the environment and provides recommendations to higher level technical staff and management
- Follow OSHA, NEC, AHJ and Utility requirements
- Ensure job sites are left clean
- Other duties as assigned

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Possess or obtain an Apprentice License within state of employment if applicable
- 2 years of electrical installation and repair experience preferred
- Working knowledge of current NEC codes
- Must have working knowledge and experience in residential electrical services and replacing distribution panels
- Ability to effectively manage work to achieve required timelines
- Experienced with all required hand and power tools associated with the electrical trade
- Ability to read and interpret single line drawings
- Must maintain a clean and valid driver's license

**Physical Demands and Abilities**:

- Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls
- Stand, walk, or run for long periods of time
- Climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles
- Repeatedly kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, crawl, or reach out
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- See differences between colors, shades, and brightness
- Determine the distance between objects
- While looking forward, see objects or movements that are off to the side
- Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm
- Move two or more limbs together (example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place
- Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods of time
- Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position
- React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet
- Understand the speech of another person
- Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects
- Lift 50+ pounds
