- The Janitor position is responsible for keeping aisles and the general areas of the plant free of dirt and clutter, track and requisition consumable supplies, work effectively without supervision, reporting of full garbage and scrap steel receptacles. This position will be performing other various janitorial duties as well as perform forklift and lighting inspections and light duty maintenance.**Qualifications**
- Dedication to excellence and a quality output
- High school diploma or the equivalent

**Responsibilities**
- Promote excellence throughout the department
- Maintain a safe and clean shop
- Plan various operations required to accurately perform duties economically
- Be familiar with the construction of the janitorial equipment and maintain
- Reporting of down forklifts and bad lighting
- Continuous improvement is expected in all critical activities such as overall plant quality and appearance, safety and productivity
- The employee will supply all of the basic tools required to perform the above operations

**Physical Requirements**
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
