The Tax Associate supports the timely preparation of US sales and use and Canadian GST/HST tax returns. Prepares sales and use tax account reconciliations and journal entries for monthly close. Assists with annual information reporting. Supports other tax accounting and administrative tasks. This role is based in our Jersey City office on a hybrid working model.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Prepare and remit sales and use tax returns for assigned entities/regions via Vertex and ensure compliance.
- Support the approval of customer tax exemption certificates.
- Reconcile general ledger sales tax accounts for assigned entities and prepare journal entries for monthly close.
- Ensure the correct taxation and mapping of products in Vertex.
- Support the resolution of tax-related inquiries from Sales, Fulfillment, Customer Service and Collections
- Assist with the annual filing of Forms 1042 and 1042-S.
- Reconcile general ledger withholding tax liability accounts and remit withholding taxes.
- Participate in various projects and assist accounting team as needed.
- Any other duties that can reasonably be expected of you.

**EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS**:

- BS degree with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience filing US sales/use tax returns
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
- Must have good analytical skills, be detail oriented and have good communication skills
- SAP and Vertex knowledge preferred

US Annualized Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000. The salary offer may vary based on work experience, education, skill level and equity. The US salary range does not align with the salary ranges in other countries when converted to the currency of that country.
