Backhoe Operator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Backhoe Operator to join our team. As a Backhoe Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, including backhoes, loaders, graders, and water trucks. Your role will involve performing various excavation and construction tasks to support our projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate backhoes and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform excavation, digging, trenching, and grading tasks as required
- Load and unload materials using the backhoe or other equipment
- Operate water trucks to control dust and maintain proper moisture levels
- Assist with horizontal drilling operations as needed
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner

Qualifications:

- Proven experience operating backhoes and other heavy equipment
- Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of excavation techniques and construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans
- Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques is a plus
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Physical stamina to withstand long hours of outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

**Skills**:

- Dump truck operation
- Commercial driving experience
- Backhoe operation expertise
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as loaders and graders
- Water truck operation skills for dust control purposes
- Knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques
- Excavation and digging capabilities
- Grader operation proficiency
- Tanker operation experience
- Loader operation skills

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

- Alvin, TX: Relocate before starting work (required)
