Weld Process Technician-3rd Shift

**Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Initiates and develops machine and process improvements.
- Investigates safety, quality, and productivity problems.
- Assists engineering and maintenance departments with schedule repairs, outages, projects.
- Assists with various projects as necessary.
- Tests and evaluates achievement of welder in technical knowledge and trade skills to include welder performance qualifications.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Desired Experience**
- Extensive knowledge of the welding process (VT, manual and mechanical welding, troubleshooting, process set up)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all employees.
- Basic math skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
- Complete knowledge of weld equipment, operation, and capabilities
- Complete knowledge of all welding processes and Codes
- Excellent planning and logical reasoning skills
- 5 years experience or equivalent knowledge
- Safety and environmental training as deemed necessary (ISO, TS, OSHA, ASME)
- Mechanical and electrical training as deemed necessary.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
