- Activity Fund Clerk- JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assist the principal in the administration of the campus’ activity fund transactions. Perform general bookkeeping and maintain campus activity fund financial records.
- DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain complete and systematic records of campus activity fund transactions
- Record details of financial transactions in appropriate journals and ledgers
- Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Maintain general ledger by transferring account summaries.
- Examine all computerized general ledger transactions daily for accuracy, make corrections as needed, and inform principal of problems.
- Compute and record cash receipt summaries.
- Balance general ledger and subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
- Work with organization sponsors to make inquiries and resolve discrepancies in account records.
- Transfer funds between accounts as directed by principal.
- Prepare financial statements, income statements, and cost reports to reflect financial status of accounts.
- Maintain physical and computerized files and records.
- Maintains confidentiality

- EXPERIENCE:
- One to three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- QUALIFICATIONS:
**Education/Certification**:

- High School Diploma or GED

**Special Knowledge/Skills**:

- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Ability to use calculator (10-key by touch)
- Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and do word processing.
- Proficient skills in typing, keyboarding, and file maintenance.
- Ability to work with numbers in accurate and rapid manner to meet established deadlines.
