_**Job Summary**:_

Yrefy is a dynamic lender that solves the student loan dilemma with unique financial products for borrowers and investors. We are looking for an A/P Specialist with effective communication skills, a dedicated team player, and a desire to learn more about accounting. This role’s primary responsibilities are taking ownership of the accounts payable process and facilitating timely and accurate payments to vendors, lenders, and investors.
- **Duties/Responsibilities**:_
- Manages accounts payable and vendor files using accounting software and other programs.
- Analyzes workflow processes and recommends improvements.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with new and existing vendors.
- Processes due invoices for payments.
- Compares purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges.
- Processes transactions and performs accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts.
- Attends all meetings and training courses as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- **Required Skills/Abilities**:_
- Knowledge of general financial accounting.
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Competency with accounting tools and software.
- Basic data entry skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- **Education and Experience**:_
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or any other related field preferred.
- Professional experience in public accounting, financial analysis, and/or reporting is required.

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
