**Role Overview**

The Hygiene Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring our hygiene department operates smoothly and efficiently. You'll be responsible for contacting patients to schedule hygiene recare appointments, helping new patients acclimate to the practice, managing the hygiene schedule, and maintaining communication with patients and team members.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Recare Program: Coordinate hygiene appointments to maximize productivity and minimize downtime of the hygienist team. Ensure patients are scheduled in an efficient and timely manner.
- Patient Communication: Connect with patients to welcome them to the practice, coordinate new patient paperwork, gather pre-appointment information, schedule and confirm appointments, and follow-up on missed or canceled appointments.
- Patient Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our practice management system. Ensure all patient information is handled with confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Hygiene Same-Day: Complete treatment planning for same-day hygiene services.
- Insurance Coordination: Complete same-day insurance verification and process insurance predetermination results.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a dental office, health care setting, or similar administrative role is preferred. Experience in customer service, sales, or call center are desirable as well.
- Proficiency in dental software (Dentrix) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is desirable but not required.
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-oriented attitude.

**Hours**
- Monday 9:30 - 7 (8 hrs)
- Tuesday 8:45 - 5 (7.25 hrs)
- Wednesday 8:30 - 6 (8 hrs)
- Thursday 7:30 - 3 (6.5 hrs)
- Friday 7:30 - 3 (6.5 hrs)

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
