**SWHS consists of two acute-care hospitals: Inland Valley Medical Center and Rancho Springs Medical Center.**

Inland Valley Medical Center

This campus of Southwest Healthcare System, a 122-bed acute care hospital, is the only hospital in the region to offer Level II Trauma Services and is a nationally recognized center for weight-loss surgery. The Total Joint Center at Inland Valley was awarded advanced certification from the Joint Commission for hip and knee surgery, with Spine Services certified by The Joint Commission, and is an Advanced Certified Primary Stroke Center.

Rancho Springs Medical Center

This campus of Southwest Healthcare System, a 120-bed acute care hospital, features the largest Family Birth Center in the region which includes Rady Children’s Level III NICU (Recently ranked #4 in the nation for neonatology by US News and World Report). The only hospital in the region to offer pediatric ER Services from Rady Children’s, is an Advanced Certified Primary Stroke Center, and features the da Vinci® Robotic Xi Surgical System and a new diagnostic Cath Lab.

As a staff member providing clinical expertise you will be responsible for providing excellence in patient care, collaborative and comprehensive care based on patient and/or family needs, and quality and efficient services. Qualifications:
**1. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS**

Ø Knowledge of preparing and maintaining a sterile field.

Ø Knowledge of instrumentation and supplies necessary for specialty surgical procedures.

Ø Basic communication skills, problem solving techniques and professional interpersonal relations skills.

**2. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE**

Ø Minimum of two (2) years recent operating room experience as a Surgical Tech.

Ø Minimum of two (2) years’ experience scrubbing for cardio-thoracic/coronary artery bypass surgery.

**3. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION**

Ø High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Ø Graduated from an accredited Operating Room Technician Program

**4. REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS**

Ø National Surgical Technician certification, recommended

Ø Current BLS certification from American Heart Association

**5. WORK ENVIRONMENT**

Ø High volume, fast paced.

Ø Subject to many interruptions.

Ø Subject to irregular hours.

Ø Fluctuating temperatures and noise levels.

**Salary**: Starting from $32.89 to $43.58 an hour
