We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as Lead Foreman. As a Foreman, you will be the frontline supervisor on the jobsite. You will manage all employees and subs, order materials for the project and work directly with our clients to ensure the best possible client experience. Our foremen strive to provide excellent client service, produce consistently top-quality workmanship and complete each project on schedule through efficient and systematic oversight of every job.
- Responsibilities:_
- Conduct yourself as a positive, frontline representative of Kleiber Construction at all times.
- Uphold Kleiber Construction’s core values at all times.
- Possess advanced skills in all areas of residential construction, including framing, roofing, siding, building staircases and finish work.
- Be responsible for maintaining adequate supplies and workforce at each jobsite.
- Keep safety at the forefront of each jobsite and act as the ‘responsible person’ on the jobsite in all safety-related matters.
- Maintain regular and ongoing communication with Project Manager, clients, employees, and other trades as necessary, throughout the duration of all projects, to ensure optimal results.
- Proactively schedule subs and material orders and follow the job schedule, working in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Onsite equipment - checks on oil level, coolant level, hydraulic level, inspect for leaks, notify of any issues before equipment leaves the site, wipe down interior, clean glass and vacuum out.
- Take initiative to immediately resolve all jobsite issues and problems and, when necessary and appropriate, defer to Project Manager for assistance with the solution process.
- Report all actual and potential job delays to Project Manager immediately along with your three best options to resolve it.
- Complete and submit “Weekly Job Progress Report” every Friday by noon.
- Take progress pictures of work, daily if possible, but at least twice weekly, and upload them to the Client Folder in the company Google Drive.
- Close out projects, do a punch list with Project Manager and clients and complete it, provide warranty information and manuals to Office Manager for customer binder.
- Supervise and conduct weekly and annual performance evaluations for all employees on your jobsite.
- If a Lead Carpenter is not present on a jobsite, you are responsible for the daily training of all Apprentice Carpenters on your site.
- Attend staff meetings, jobsite meetings and training as required.
- Requirements:_
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Previous experience in construction required. 5-7 years preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
