Under the direction of the Food Safety Manager the QA technician will oversee the implementation of the HACCP and food safety programs for a USDA Facility. Needs to be a proactive strategic thinker who manages staff in a variety of settings in order to ensure that all GMP& & SSOP & are followed along with proper documentation. The QA technician will also audit production to assure we are producing to specification using the freshest ingredients.

**Essential Functions Statement(s)** Assist daily pre-operational sanitation inspections. Report all deficiencies to a food safety manager and plant management& Perform pre-operational quality control checks and calibrations (oxygen levels, scales, soaps and sanitizers, scales, thermometers).

Perform quality control checks of all production stations and packaging lines and document.

Perform food safety checks a minimum of 2 times a day - sanitizes, and detergents and room temperatures Immediately report problems or deficiencies in quality or related processes to food safety manager and plant management.

Assist in the inspection of production workers to make sure USDA, HACCP, and GMP guidelines are being followed on the production floor.

Gather samples of processed products for product quality testing and logging results on the quality control forms.

Gather, log and store daily production retention samples.

Perform allergen control validation and documentation as needed during product changeovers. Actively participate in all food safety and quality control meetings and projects. Perform all tasks in a safe manner. Report all safety hazards to management so that corrective action can be taken immediately.

Good attendance and reporting to work on-time is required to do this job satisfactorily.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
