Previous experience as a Recreation DirectorMust be organized and have the ability to lead othersStrong organizational and planning skills; ability to multi-task

**Responsibilities**:
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the activity programs of the facility.

Develop and implement procedures for the identification of medically related activity needs of the residentParticipate in discharge planning, development, and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessmentsInterview residents and families, as necessary, in a private settingInvolve residents and families in planning facility activity programsProvide consultation to members of our staff, community agencies, etc. in efforts to solve the needs and problems of the resident through the development of activity programsCoordinate activities with other departments, as necessaryDelegate authority, responsibility, and accountability to other responsible department personnelMake written and oral reports and recommendations to the Administrator concerning the operation of the Recreation Department

Ensure that all charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and of the resident's response to the service

Develop preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the activity needs of each resident
