**Medical Secretary/Technician Needed**
This position is a great fit for someone who has a love of technology and is service-driven with amazing customer service skills. **NO Experience Needed**:
Prior medical office or eyecare experience is a plus, but it’s certainly not required. We will be happy to train the right person with a great attitude, a helpful heart, and a love of learning We will make sure you’re totally confident working with the equipment and patients before you start handling these tasks alone

You’ll be handling a lot of the important work that goes on to set the doctor and the patient up for success.

**Some of your duties will include**:

- Taking the patient back to the exam room and verifying their medical history, concerns, and documenting changes.
- Spending 15+ minutes with each patient before the doctor comes in, performing duties such as measuring retinal function, peripheral vision, and taking retinal photographs. (You’ll be using the same type of instruments NASA uses on the space station)
- “Auto - refracting” the patient, which means starting the process of finding the patient’s eyeglass prescription before the doctor comes in to refine it.
- Taking notes for the doctor during the patient’s exam as a scribe
- Consistent cross-training for optimum career growth and development.
- Ordering proper tests based on the doctor’s diagnoses as instructed.
- Educating patients on the proper use and care of contact lenses, eyeglasses, and eyecare routines, supplements, and/or optical therapies as prescribed by the doctor.
- Properly notating assessment and plan for the doctor based on trained protocols of diagnosis.
- Setting up advanced testing and procedures in our dry eye clinic.
- Discussing treatment plans prescribed by the doctor.

- Experience with REV EHR and Spanish speakers are a plus
