**Responsibilities and Duties**

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.
- Ensure high levels of guest satisfactions through sales and guest service experiences
- Assist the guest in selecting products/services, answer questions, and check for stock and availability
- Assist guests in the store and on the phone to ensure all needs are met in all lines of the business
- Process payment and/or contracts for products or services
- Assists guests with purchases, services and/or shipments (Beloit location) by carrying out various procedures
- Assist with sales displays, ensuring the sales floor is stocked, clean, orderly, and inviting to the guest
- Assist with the design and creation of balloon displays and creatively meeting the guest requests
- Assists with event planning and decor Remain knowledgeable of all product lines and offerings
- Responsible to cross-sell products and services
- Assists in inventory verification and notifies Store Manager of discrepancies
- Work together as a team with other coworkers
- Review and follow the regularly posted schedule
- Responsible for opening and closing activities
- Follow all company guidelines and management instructions
- Work toward continuous quality improvement
- Stay current with changing technology, including software programs
- Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures

**Qualifications and Skills**

To perform this job successfully, the individual in this position must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Previous retail/ guest service experience is preferred
- LANGUAGE SKILLS:

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, vendors, and other employees of the organization

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance

REASONING ABILITY:

- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

- Valid Driver’s License
- Preferred
