Life Skills Coach, Yuba City

**LIFE SKILLS COACH**

The Life Skills Coach does exactly that - coach adults on life skills. We work with adults with developmental disabilities who live independently and wish to be more independent. The Life Skills Coach (LSC) will assist the client with learning daily skills such as menu planning, grocery shopping and cooking, budgeting, cleaning, and using public transportation. The LSC will assist the consumer with medical and dental appointments. The LSC will assist the consumer with transportation when working on individual service plan objectives and services.

**--- Yuba City & Colusa (Part-time) ---**
- Yuba City on Thursday evenings 5 pm to 11 pm. Colusa on Saturdays 5:30P-8:30P, and Sunday + Mondays from 12P-8:30P.

We are looking for a compassionate individual to provide support to multiple clients in both Yuba City and Colusa The right individual will be kind, and will have the ability to provide good time management support in the mornings.
- Pay range $17-19 per hour depending on experience_

**EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have at least 1 year experience in care-giving, education, or working/volunteering with people with disabilities or equivalent education. Must be able to work with and support people who have disabilities.

**HIRING CRITERIA AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
- Must be CPR Certified or willing to become certified
- Must show evidence of a negative TB test within the last year (or get one).
- Ability to pass drug screen at the request of New Start.
- Must be able to pass a DOJ Live Scan fingerprint background check.
- Possession and proof of a valid California Drivers License, vehicle insurance, a good driving record, and willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment (should driving clients be required)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
