**Church Controller**

As the **Greek Orthodox** **Church of Our Saviour Controller**, you will be an integral part of the day-to-day financial operations of our church. You will have daily/weekly/monthly/yearly responsibilities and be an important part of our office working with 2 Priests, Custodian and Office Administrative personnel in addition to regular interactions with the Parish Council and ministry leaders. **Duties and Responsibilities**:

- **Daily and as needed**_:

- Revenue accounting for church and all ministries
- Payables/invoices using Quickbooks, or alternative platform suitable for financial records
- Day to day Operations of the church and office
- Maintain banking relationship
- **Monthly**:_
- Process and reconcile payroll
- Process Stewardship payments
- Develop key financial statements to Treasurer and Stewardship Chair
- Bank reconciliations
- Financial statements to ministries
- **Annual**:_
- Year-end 1099 reporting
- Annual financial reports and audit assistance
- Ad hoc reports

**Skills and Specifications**:

- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices applicable to not-for-profit organizations
- Strong organizational skills; ability to multitask, handling multiple projects and requests at the same time
- Detail-oriented and analytical problem solving and data analysis
- Proficient with Quickbooks, Microsoft suite products (i.e., Word, Excel)
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong team player and moral compass

**Education and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in business, preferably accounting or finance; experience working in a _**not-for-profit**_ organization is a plus
- Certified Public Accountant is a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
