- Gyp Stacks and Idle Plant tech- Where will you work: Onsite Plant City Facility (660 East County Line Road, Plant City, FL 33565- The Gyp Stacks and Idle Plant Tech will manage the pond water system and the surrounding gyp stacks to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements. Monitor facility and surrounding areas to ensure Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security standards are met and resolve any issues that arise. Obtain resources, equipment or labor, and oversee the work to ensure issue is being managed appropriately.- What you'll do:
- Operate, inspect, and oversee work related to the fresh water ponds, gyp stacks, and gyp stack ponds and associated equipment
- Obtain resources and oversee field work to ensure on-going environmental compliance
- Identify and communicates deficiencies noted in the field to appropriate personnel
- Provide minor mechanical maintenance activities
- Coordinates and manager onsite contractors, RO plant and Gyp Stack Maintenance.
- Review equipment, sample results and pond data using an electronic database (Excel or PI system) for daily operational decisions / troubleshooting
- Performs miscellaneous job duties as assigned.
- What you'll need:
- High School Diploma or GED plus 2+ years of experience in operations is preferred
- 2+ years’ experience is Environmental Health and Safety preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite experience is required
- Entry level Maximo experience is preferred
- Entry level Objective Interface Systems (OIS) experience is preferred
- Entry level Aon experience is preferred
- Leadership experience is preferred
- Laboratory experience is preferred
- The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.
