BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a **Mental Health Technician II** to join our outstanding and compassionate team in **New Port Richey**
- Facility: BayCare Behavioral Health
- Location: New Port Richey, FL
- Status: Full time, Exempt: No
- Shift Hours: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
- Weekend Work: Every Other
- On Call: No
**The Mental Health Technician II is responsible for**:
- Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.
- Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
- Assists with physical care under the direction of an RN.
- Promotes coordination of the unit by completing orders, making phone calls and directing calls and information to the charge nurse.

**Required Certification/Licensures**:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred
- Patient Care Technician - preferred
**Required Education**:
- High School or Equivalent
- Associate's degree in related field - Preferred
**Experience**:
- 6 months - Psychology
