- **Position is located in the Ventura Office.**

Under general direction of the Business Taxes Administrator I, the Tax Technician III - Lead oversees the operation of the public counter ensuring that work is processed timely and orderly, adjusting coverage on a daily basis, and providing training. The lead completes the most difficult and complex technical duties which include issuing permits to businesses, handling the full range of account maintenance duties, and conducting taxpayer interviews. The incumbent may issue use tax exemption certificates, process escrow clearances on sales of businesses, handle incoming and released security, and perform reception duties.
- The incumbent may be eligible to receive additional compensation each month for public contact through the Telephone per Pay Differential 186.

Working Conditions
- Position is located in a high-rise building.
- Telework is available 50% of the time.
- Standard office environment.
- Requires being in a stationary position, consistent with office work, for extended periods of time.
- Daily use of a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone.
- Must be able to move/transport documents and records weighing up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
