**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Identity. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations. Additionally, you will work closely with our team of Retail Associate Stylists and Body Piercers on providing clients with a wonderful shopping and piercing experience. You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory, training and developing staff, and achieving sales targets. **Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve any customer issues or complaints
- Manage inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets
- Train and develop store staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service
- Assist with scheduling and staffing needs to ensure adequate coverage
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new team members
- Assist with budgeting and expense management
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assist the Studio Manager in day-to-day operations, including scheduling, inventory management, customer service, general studio maintenance, provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring a welcoming and professional studio environment
- Assist with jewelry selection and sales, providing guidance to clients based on their needs and preferences
- Help maintain a clean and organized studio, including piercing rooms, jewelry displays, and common areas
- Assist with marketing and promotional efforts as needed, including social media content and providing promotional items such as stickers, pins, business cards, gift wrap, and more to clients.
- Adhere to studio policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Supervise, train and assist employees such as Retail Associate Stylists and Body Piercers in customer service, store maintenance, product or service offerings, and overall studio operations
- Develop and maintain the schedule for the team, manage requested days off and shift trades by team members, monitor clocking in/out, via Homebase App
- Open and close studio duties including balancing the register, cleaning the studio, restocking supplies in preparation for next day. Secure the studio at close by locking doors are, setting alarms, etc. Unlocking and locking studio while following security guidelines for start or end of day.
- Educate clients on best practices with their piercings and jewelry
- Answer studio phone calls in a professional and friendly manner
- Coach and support new and existing Sales Associates to provide outstanding customer service to clients.
- Check in inventory orders of jewelry, piercing supplies, cleaning supplies for accuracy
- Seek ways to better promote the brand, store, product line, and services within the store to boost sales and inform clients and prospective clients.
- Analyze consumer behavior and adjust product positioning
- Collaborate with Studio Manager and Retail Associate Stylists on store updates for new jewelry showcase refreshes, holiday decor, etc.
- Ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved efficiently and effectively.
- Keep daily records of store sales, damages, deposit log, scheduling, custom jewelry orders, online orders for in-store pick-up, etc
- Communicate with other Identity location on staffing, appointments, wait times, inventory, client requests, general studio updates
- Assist in payroll duties as needed
- Conduct regular team meetings and check-ins
- Follow compliance to policies and procedures and report concerns to senior management

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in retail customer service, retail management role, preferably as an Assistant Store Manager or similar position. Body piercing or jewelry industry a plus.
- Knowledge of point-of-sale systems (Square). Basic skills with common computer software, including Google and Microsoft Office Suite tools
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Experience in inventory control and managing stock levels
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally. Decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of body piercing practices, jewelry materials, and aftercare practices is a plus
