CNC Machinist Apprentice

CNC Machinist Apprentice.

Looking for an individual who is interested in becoming a CNC machinist. On the job training is provided, with opportunities to progress with the more you learn and are able to apply. You will operate and set up 3 and 5 axis machines.

You will be provided with regular training in this position.

Other responsibilities will include
- weekly maintenance of machines
- reading blueprints ,and reading job orders to obtain product specifications and work instructions,
- communicating effectively and participating as a team player,
- add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- to assist with and learn to load/unload parts, distinguishing and identifying proper tooling/collects/fixture
- to assist with and learn how to change the tooling of the CNC machine
- observe machine operation and assist with and learn to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometer and dial caliper.
- generally assist to monitor the work being undertaken and completed, testing and taking required critical measurements to identify problems and the need for adjustments and to immediately make any adjustments as necessary

This is a full time position with benefits. Pay determined based on any prior experience, and it is a day shift position 8:15AM-4:45PM.

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to lift 40+ pounds at times.
- Motivation to learn
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work output

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
