Partners In Obstetrics and Women's Health is looking for a dedicated, passionate, and committed individual to fill our Medical Office Billing position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Medical biller will assist with submitting claims by paper or electronically to insurance carriers. Follow up with unpaid balances. Handle collections on unpaid accounts. Perform collections for past due accounts. Resolve patient billing issues and set up patient payment plans. Complete referrals, obtain precertification for procedures and OB care with the insurances carriers.
QUALIFICATIONS- 2+ years of insurance/patient billing in a medical "office" setting
- Basic understanding of ICD 10 diagnoses and CPT medical codes
- Good knowledge of the Medical Insurance reimbursement process
- Familiarity with HIPPA regulations and privacy requirements for patient information
- Familiarity with billing software "Eclinical" preferred
- Billing experience required
- Ability to effectively communicate with providers, co-workers, insurance carriers and patients to insure maximum reimburse for the practice. Ability to multi-task effectively under stress, prioritize and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.
