Lube Technician

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Essential Job Functions**: Performs oil changes, oil, fuel and air filter changes, greasing of equipment, and minor repairs in order to ensure equipment is properly serviced.

**Working Conditions**:Works inside and outside in all types of weather; is exposed to drafts, cold and hot temperature, noise, fumes, vehicle fluids, as well as mechanical, electrical, explosive, fume/odor and chemical hazards; must be available to work day or evening shifts. Evening shift position, 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

**MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**

**Knowledge**: Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the maintenance and repair of heavy truck and construction equipment; knowledge of shop safety procedures.

**Skills/Abilities**: Ability to use basic troubleshooting equipment; ability to perform minor repairs or replace all parts associated with gasoline and diesel equipment including engine, chassis, electrical and hydraulics; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; ability to read and interpret basic technical manuals; ability to make basic independent decisions and to complete assigned tasks with little supervision; ability to operate shop equipment such as hydraulic jacks, overhead cranes, winches and forklifts; ability to operate large trucks and construction equipment.

**Education/Experience**: Graduation from high school or equivalent preferred; minimum two (2) years experience in lubrication and servicing of heavy duty truck and construction equipment; able to perform automotive and heavy equipment minor repair preferred.

**Other**: Must meet tool box requirements. Must possess a valid Class C driver’s License with a good driving record.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
