Coordinator of Volunteers, Medical Library

Directs and operates the Cape Cod Hospital Volunteer programs and Medical Library including continuing medical education.
**Description**:
- Practices according to entity mandatory requirements
- Practices according to department expectations
- Practices with a Customer Service approach to all activities
- Complies with all administrative policies and procedures
- Demonstrates ability to successfully manage multiple projects and responsibilities
- Performs with knowledge of effective communication practices
- Performs as part of the interdisciplinary team
- Demonstrates basic computer ability
- Demonstrates appropriate interpersonal skills
- Addresses age-specific needs of high school students, adults, and older adults
- Establishes and implements policies and procedures for department operation
- Develops and manages annual departmental goal and objectives
- Manages all activities of Volunteers and Medical Library department
- Performs other departmental duties as necessary
- Fully supports the Executive Director in organizing and running the Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee, Annual and Quarterly Meetings of the Medical Staff, monthly departmental meetings and various other meetings of the medical staff as requested by preparing and distributing agendas, minutes, notices, making room and food arrangements etc. to above mentioned committees and their members
- Maintains accurate hospital-wide Medical Staff database for all practitioners and all facilities. These databases include primary source verifications of pertinent licenses, education, training, work experience, etc.
- Process onboarding paperwork, occupational health clearance and ID badges for the medical students, residents and APC students. Assist in housing arrangements and serve as the on-site administrative contact during all clinical rotations
- Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of a high school degree required, college degree preferred;
- Experience understanding the organizational structure of a hospital medical staff office and overall hospital operations;
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in heath care environment;
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in people-oriented job;
- Computer expertise essential.
