The Boeing Company is currently seeking a **Firefighter** to join the team in **Huntington Beach, CA**.
The Boeing Fire Department is the world’s largest Industrial fire department. Boeing firefighters provide a safe working environment and are ready to respond to emergencies and disasters at our Boeing sites. This team member will perform multi-discipline duties while being a collaborative team player who demonstrates a sense of urgency. This position is perfect for a self-starter who takes initiative in completing actions independently.
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Responds to and completes service requests as outlined in company procedures or desktop procedures
- Inspects various routine, emergency and fixed fire protection equipment, systems and apparatus to ensure operational readiness and to comply with applicable codes, standards and company procedures and completes appropriate documentation
- Responds to emergency calls for assistance to mitigate hazardous situations by operating specialized tools, equipment and apparatus
- Determines the appropriate course of action within the scope of qualifications
- Conducts training in basic skills of the Fire Protection Specialist (using established lesson plans)
- Conducts training for external customers in emergency preparedness and safety skills to meet regulatory requirements and satisfy customer requests
- Completes appropriate documentation
- Monitors systems and receives requests for fire department services and dispatches resources appropriately
**This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. **An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)**:
- Current National Registry, California State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification, or other U.S. State EMT certification
- Willing to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends
- Current valid driver’s license
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)**:
- Experience working with hazardous materials
- State, IFSAC or Proboard Firefighter 1 Certification
- State, IFSAC or Proboard Firefighter 2 Certification
**Typical Education & Experience**:
Typically, 2 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

This position will be for variable shift.

Summary pay range: $25.00 - $43.34
