WATCHTOWER Firearms is looking for a PVD Technician who is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in the PVD process in our Spring Texas Manufacturing Facility.
- Operate and maintain PVD equipment to deposit thin films of materials onto substrates.
- Monitor deposition processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of PVD equipment.
- Prepare substrates and materials for deposition processes.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Document process parameters and results accurately.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize deposition processes.
- Stay updated on advancements in PVD technology and recommend improvements to processes and equipment.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in a relevant field preferred.
- 3+ Experience operating and maintaining PVD equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong Understanding of Chemicals used in the PVD coating process as well as in the preparation process for PVD Coating.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- 7+ Years Experience with specific types of PVD processes (e.g., sputtering, evaporation).
- Familiarity with vacuum systems and associated equipment from Vapor Tech.
- Basic understanding of materials science and thin film deposition techniques.
- Experience and interest in the firearms Industry.

Pay: $17.50 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
