Gotham Ready Mix, LLC is hiring a Billing Assistant for our Finance department. The Billing Assistant facilitates the efficient operation of the Finance department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.
- *Please note that the position requires reporting to our office in Jamaica, Queens. This is not a hybrid or remote position.*_

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Sort through job order tickets.
- Scan tickets.
- Review job order tickets. Report missing/incorrect ticket information to Billing & HR departments.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned, such as data entry, filing, scanning, and updating records.
- Create and maintain electronic and physical filing systems as assigned.
- Answer and transfer phone calls, screening when necessary.
- Respond to and resolve administrative inquiries and questions.
- Handle administrative requests and queries from senior managers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- Ability to operate general office equipment.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.

**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an administrative role.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
