Lead projects to build, repair and modify high-quality injection mold tooling from complex part and mold designs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Train and guide assigned helpers as needed
- Attend kick-off meetings and provide input for design and mold build
- Plan and schedule jobs to meet quoted hours and delivery dates, Prepare needed prints and instructions to coordinate helpers as needed.
- Clearly communicate to determine the most efficient method of manufacture to others working with you.
- Complete paperwork or instructions for additional details to be performed for mold assembly.
- Assess completed jobs for improvements with necessary personnel for future efficiency
- Maintain a clean work area
- Clean equipment and machines after use and communicate any necessary maintenance to Shop Supervisor
- Work overtime per delivery and customer requirements
- Additional responsibilities as may be assigned by Tooling Manager

Required Knowledge - Skills - and Abilities:

- A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum 5 to 6 years of bench work experience is needed.
- Knowledge of Makino CNC and Charmilles Wire EDM a Plus.
- Knowledge of plastic injection molds and mold making practices.
- Efficient at programming and running shop machinery (CNC machining centers, High-Speed
- Milling, EDM sinker, WEDM a plus, etc.).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- CNC programming skills (Vero and Solid works).
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- Work cooperatively with fellow employees in a team environment.
- Thorough knowledge of inspection equipment and techniques.
- Use geometry, trigonometry, shop mathematics and calculator proficiently.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in building many types of injection molds
- An apprentice certification is preferred.
- Ability to maintain and hold close tolerances
- Vero, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Geopath experience is a plus

Physical Demands:

- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 to 50 pounds and move heavier objects with proper equipment
- Able to stand for long periods of time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
