**How will you make an impact?**

**What will you do?**
- Perform laboratory bench work with focus on understanding and performing research and data analysis for development, improvement, and troubleshooting of reagents involved in our Ion Torrent sequencing workflows.
- Investigate enzyme kinetics and develop enzymatic assays to support new product development, on-market product quality control and troubleshooting.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high quality results, supporting Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Engineering and Analytical Chemistry teams in R&D and Operations.
- Perform and prioritize project deliverables to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Generate and analyze scientific data, compose presentations, and maintain a detailed and organized laboratory notebook.

**How will you get here?**

**Education**
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in the Biological Sciences
- Advanced degree preferred with limited experience

**Experience**
- 2+ years related experience in Biology, Biochemistry, Enzymology, Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Bioengineering or related field.
- Experience with enzyme assay development, including fluorescence-based kinetic assays, is desired.
- Understanding of analytical method development and statistical process control concepts is desired.
- Experience with enzyme characterization, using techniques such as gel electrophoresis, protein/nucleic acid quantitation (Bradford, Nanodrop, qPCR, dPCR, Bioanalyzer), or fluorescence-based assays, is a plus.
- Next-generation sequencing experience is a plus.

**Compensation and Benefits**

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $73,000.00-$100,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
