Preschool Teacher (Mandarin speaker)

We are seeking a full-time teacher to join our teaching team at Ya Ya Preschool. Our work environment is collaborative, and our directors will provide training and support to help you become a successful preschool teacher.

The teacher’s responsibilities and duties may include not limited to:

- Collaborating closely day-to-day with a senior teacher in all aspects of lesson planning that align with the school curriculum, meeting target learning objectives set by the School.
- Ensuring the safety of all the children at all times in the classroom with proper and effective classroom management skills.
- Documenting student progress with photos and detailed observational notes in preparation for parent-teacher conferences
- Communicating with parents about classroom happening updates with photos
- Guiding the children with hygiene (incl. potty and diapers) and nap routines
- Meeting regularly with the school director about student updates

Minimum Qualifications Required:

- A Bachelor or Master’s degree in an early childhood education-related fields, or has the intention in working towards such a degree
- Ability to speak Mandarin with a standard accent
- Prior experience in working young children, preferably in a classroom setting
- Works well in a team environment with an open mind and flexible approach

Pay: $15.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
