The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Project Office Manager. DDD provides individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, services and supports that are flexible, high quality, and member driven. These services provide individuals with opportunities to exercise their rights and responsibilities of independent decision-making and engagement in the community.

The position reports to the Project Evaluation Administrator (Administrator) of the Division of Developmental Disabilities (Division/DDD) and assists with the timely and successful delivery of the Divisions’ portfolio of projects and strategic management initiatives. The Project Office Manager is expected to think strategically, participate in leading the strategy and operations of the Project Management Office (PMO) and manage projects as assigned by the Administrator. The position assists the Administrator: developing and implementing strategic project plans to achieve business goals; proactively leading project and strategic management initiatives by setting direction of project, creating project plan, setting timeline, identifying key milestones and additional resources needed on assigned projects; driving continuous process improvement initiatives to improve project delivery models, monitoring tools, project metrics, and optimizing project outcomes; developing and maintaining project management standards, practices, and methodology.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Applicants for this position cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation, cannot have a principal interest in or have a spouse or close family with principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor
Agreement, and cannot be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor.

Job Duties:
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Assist the Administrator in managing the Project Management Office for DDD. Works with partner State agencies (AHCCCS, ADHS, DCS) and Federal partner (CMS) on large scale and complex projects.
- Leads planning and implementation of assigned projects by setting direction of project, creating project plan, setting timeline, identifying key milestones and additional resources needed on selected projects.
- Provides oversight of assigned projects. Develops methods to monitor project or area progress and takes corrective action. Manages project budget and resource allocation. Developing the project scope, estimating, scheduling.
- Provides leadership, mentoring, coaching and direct supervision. Assigns, authorizes leave, and approves ETE- Time Cards for staff. Provides ongoing staff training and development.
- Works cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes. Resolves or assists in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas.
