Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospitals and 19 outpatient facilities, which treat half a million patients annually through 2,600 affiliated physicians.

Must be a current Medical Director of Behavioral Medicine Safety at Scripps Health. Participates in clinical and administrative decision making and recommends and approves policies and procedures. Organizes and coordinates physician services and services provided by other professionals as they relate to patient care. Ensures collaborative physician relationships. Ensures the appropriateness and quality of medical care and medically related care. Provide medical expertise in the review of adverse experiences. Participates in the development and conduct of educational programs. Provide leadership and medical expertise in the development of clinical strategic programs in line with system strategy.

**Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills**: MD with 10 years administrative experience in an acute care setting related to clinical operations and medical staff leadership. Ten years recent practice experience as an active member of a large and diverse medical staff. Working knowledge of current organizational strategies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complex problem solving abilities, team development planning and follow through. Able to interface and influence at all levels of the organization. Prior experience in assigned area. Applied knowledge of project management and process redesign and performance improvement techniques. Experience managing large, complex politically sensitive projects with executive and physician leadership.

**Required Certification/Registration**: Board certification in specialty or the regulating board of their subspecialty field. Licensed by the Medical Board. Current DEA member.

Position Pay Range: $149.99-$150.01/hour
