New Jersey Brain and Spine, a fast-paced neurosurgery practice in HACKENSACK, NJ is seeking a friendly and organized Receptionist to join our dynamic team. We offer a positive work environment, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greeting patients warmly and efficiently, both in person and on the phone.
- Collecting patient information and verifying insurance coverage.
- Schedule appointments efficiently, ensuring accurate data entry and confirmation calls.
- Field inbound calls efficiently, utilizing strong triage skills to connect patients with the most relevant department or provider. Adept at taking accurate and detailed messages.
- Responding to patient inquiries and providing accurate information about physician availability and services.
- Process patient check-in/out procedures, collecting co-pays and patient information.
- Assist with light clerical tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining medical records.
- Other duties and responsibilities at the discretion of management.

**Qualifications**
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in a medical office setting
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
- Positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others.

**Compensation and Benefits**
- Starting rate, $19 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.
- Benefit package includes health insurance, life, and disability insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

**Schedule**

Work-life balance: Enjoy 8:30am-5pm hours, one day at 9am-5:30pm

**Company Description**

New Jersey Brain and Spine is a neurosurgical group in northern New Jersey specializing in the operative and non-operative management of a variety of neurological conditions. The center offers specialty services in spinal surgery and medicine, neurovascular disease, movement disorders, pain and palliative neurosurgery, neuro-oncology and skull-base surgery, gamma knife radiosurgery, Chiari malformation and hydrocephalus, and pediatric neurosurgery.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
