**About the Position**:
Reporting directly to the Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation (DHR) Administrator, the Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Investigator supports the University by promptly responding to and investigating discrimination, harassment, and retaliation reports and complaints from employees and students. Conducts timely formal investigations complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation through the CSU Nondiscrimination Policy. Performs primary and secondary roles in the intake process as needed for reports of discrimination and harassment that are in violation of University policies. Assesses new complaints of potential policy violations and formulates responses based on intake results, procured documentation, and similar historical patterns. Participates in initial assessments in any capacity to gather information, take notes, provide safety and supportive measures, or make assessments. Writes reports clearly and concisely, articulating findings of fact and conclusions, and independently interprets CSU and CSUF policies and procedures and applies them to the facts of a particular case. Adheres to all writing timelines and ensures opportunities for supervisors and teammates to review writing prior to deadlines.

The Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Investigator also ensures that university policies, procedures, protocols, and practices are in compliance with state and federal laws as well as campus and systemwide policies. Will work collaboratively with the DHR Administrator, Resolution Education Manager, and Prevention Educator to provide training to the campus community on topics relating to discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience and/or training. Advanced knowledge of the ethics and compliance profession, theories and systems of control, and professional compliance and investigation standards. Broad and thorough knowledge of the compliance and ethics profession, theories, and standards. Ability to extract, verify, compile, and develop recommendations related to ethics and compliance programs, issues, policies, and procedures. Advanced knowledge of the complexities of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in the postsecondary or employment setting. Ability to demonstrate professional judgment
