Lead Logistician

Overview:
**SUMMARY**

Arcticom, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Lead Logistician for Supply Chain Management Support Services in Portsmouth, VA.

**Responsibilities**:
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Work encompasses the performance of a single source provider that will perform integrated supply chain management analysis activities, as well as, reorganization of NNSY Code 500 assistance for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard’s Material Support efforts in Portsmouth, VA. The contract will provide supply support services to Norfolk Naval Shipyard and assist in its mission of reorganization to NAVSEA and NAVSUP implementation. This effort shall be individually tailored due to the uniqueness of NNSY’s supply chain, inventory management system, program/project workload and shall enhance lines of communication for interaction between NNSY and its codes/projects. This partnering for services will provide innovative and best practice methods to increase efficiencies and effectiveness of the supply chain and will include a broad range of supply and logistics support from the Contractor for inventory control, management, data analysis, process and procedural improvements to improve Supply Chain operations at NNSY for Code 500.

Qualifications:

**Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO’s)**
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 6 years general logistics experience and at least 7 consecutive years of experience in the Navy Supply Logistics Field.
- Full knowledge of technical concepts and the ability to identify technical problems and provide solutions.
- Full knowledge of DLA and NAVSEA IT Systems and integrations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics**
- DOD and Navy Supply Systems
- DLA Systems and procedures familiarity
- Industrial Supply Support processes, finances and work package concepts.

**Preferred**
- Experience in Navy Supply Systems including wholesale and retail management of material.
- Knowledge of Navy Shipyard processes and Industrial Supply Support elements.
- Experience with CPI/Lean concepts to participate in process improvements and flows.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
