The Skokie Park District is seeking an addition to the Technical Theatre Staff

Summer on Broadway Behind the Scenes is a dynamic and fast paced program where our talented staff will put together and support performance of 3 separate shows for 3 age groups simultaneously during each of our 4 week sessions.
- Responsible for providing a safe, organized, age-appropriate camp experience for the participants enrolled in the program.
- Required to attend training sessions before camp begins as well as scheduled training sessions and meetings during the camp season.
- Responsible for supporting the preparation of weekly schedules, leadership of daily activities and maintenance of all necessary camp supplies and equipment.
- Plans age appropriate activities for campers relevant to the focus of the camp.
- Assures the safety of all campers by monitoring all camp activities throughout the program.
- Responsible for alerting the camp supervisor of any unsafe or suspicious situations that may arise, which may include taking immediate appropriate action to ensure the safety of program participants.
- Assures that the camp site is left in a clean and orderly condition at the conclusion of the camp day.
- Must be available to work the entire camp session(s).
- Responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Responsible for adhering to and maintaining ACA accreditation standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Must be at least 18 years of age. Prior education/experience in costume design/construction/coordination is required. Experience working in a Camp environment with ages 8-16 will be helpful

Prefer an individual with some college theatre technical experience or equivalent professional / community experience.

Experience in two or more of the following areas is a bonus: set/prop construction, light and sound operation, scenic artistry, and stage management.
