MISSION:

- Under the supervision of the Program Manager, this position is also responsible for recruitment and training of CASA volunteers. This position is also responsible for coordinating all social media/marketing in regards to the CASA program. This position works within the mission and philosophy of the CASA program. CASA trains community volunteers to advocate on behalf of youth in foster care in their school, dependency court and community. This is a full
- time position (40 hours per week). Frequent evening and weekend work is required._

**Description of Duties**:
2. Will implement a variety of social media campaigns that effectively promote the CASA program in awareness and recruitment.

3. Recruit CASA volunteers through various means including but not limited to: community events, presentations small and large, social media, partner meetings, community outreach, etc.

4. Will hold CASA informational sessions several times a year and one on ones as needed.

5. Provide the 30+ hour training for CASA volunteers a minimum of four times per year, or as needed to fill CASA growth plan goals and as required by all funding sources.

6. Complete all data entry as required by manager and/or all funding sources.

7. Attend all partner and funding source meetings as appropriate.

8. Promote and maintain a sense of teamwork between the CASA Program, the CASA volunteers, other CAPC staff, volunteers, and other individuals relevant to the successful operation of the CASA program.

9. Assist with development, growth and implementation of a CASA Recruitment program.

10. Represent the agency in a consistently professional manner, always modeling a commitment to the agency’s Mission and Values.

11. Assist the Program Manager as requested.

12. Network with other community agencies and participate when requested, in community and health fairs and other events designed to promote CAPC programs.

13. Other duties, both program specific and CAPC related, as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**

**Education**:BA degree in Social Work, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.

**Experience**: Two years of relevant experience in recruitment of volunteers and public speaking preferred.

**Knowledge of**: The CASA program, child welfare system, childhood development, and child abuse issues.

**Availability**: This job requires evening and weekend work on a regular basis.

**Technical Skills**: Advanced knowledge of social media platforms. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Publisher, Outlook) and MS Windows basic functions. Other software as required.

**Condition of Employment**:Employee shall be required to provide a T.B. clearance (checked every two years); COVID-19 vaccination or a legal exemption is required, submit fingerprints for Department of Justice Clearance, and provide annually, a DMV record report compliant with the Agency’s liability insurance requirements. Employee must have a car, a valid driver’s license, and proof of automobile insurance. Employee must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with clients and co-workers in a compassionate, non-discriminatory, non-judgmental manner. Position is dependent on continued funding and is an at-will position. Available to work on evenings and weekends as required by supervisor.

**Mandated Reporter**:As outlined in the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA), employees in this position qualify as Mandated Reporters and are required to report any suspicion of child abuse or neglect to relevant authorities. General mandated reporter training must be successfully completed within the first 90 days of employment and renewed annually. Additional mandated reporter training must be completed as outlined by Supervisor.

**Physical Demands**: In order to perform the job duties associated with this position, the employee is regularly required to use his/her hands to finger, handle, grasp objects, tools and/or controls. The ability to talk, sit, stand, walk, and hear well is necessary. The employee may also be required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, or crouch. On occasion, the employee may be required to lift and/or move 25 pounds. Visual ability to judge distance, color, focus, and see peripheral objects is also necessary.
