Axis Solar is seeking a highly skilled Controller to join our dynamic team. The Controller will play a key role in overseeing all financial aspects of our operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a rapidly expanding company in the renewable energy sector.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to senior management, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to identify areas of improvement or concern.
- Manage cash flow by forecasting cash needs
- Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns
- Coordinate with CFO and external tax advisors for them to prepare corporate tax returns and other tax-related documents.
- Manage accounts reconciliation leveraging office staff
- Manage construction lien process
- Prepare monthly WIP Schedules

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years accounting experience as a Controller or Accounting Manager
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to changing priorities.
